Gov. Rick Snyder (Mich.) has joined the ranks of Republicans supporting federal online sales tax legislation, as state officials continue to search for ways to firm up their fiscal situations.
Snyder backed Senate online sales tax legislation in a letter sent to chamber leaders this week, saying the proposal would allow states to more fairly collect sales taxes and even the playing field for so-called brick-and-mortar retailers.
