The Red Hat Storage Team
We are excited to announce that Red Hat Storage Servers for Public and Hybrid Clouds has been named a finalist in the Best Cloud Storage and Back-up Solution in the software category in the 2013 SIIA CODiE™ Awards program.
This honor highlights the industry acceptance of Red Hat Storage, represented through accolades and analyst reports such as Cloud Computing Cloud Storage Excellence Award and IDC Vendor Profile on Red Hat as a Storage Solutions Provider. IDC stated, “The commoditization of storage and the open source storage stack is in essence a disruptive and unstoppable force that will change the ways of the traditional storage market dominated by vendors selling proprietary hardware and software.”1
An open source, software-defined scale-out storage platform easily deployed across on-premise, private and public clouds, and hybrid cloud environments, Red Hat Storage Servers help enterprises manage the explosion of big, semi-structured, and unstructured data growth while maintaining the storage performance, capacity, and data availability.
Red Hat Storage Server for Public Cloud is pre-integrated, pre-verified and ready-to-run Amazon Machine Image (AMI) to provide a POSIX-compatible, highly available scale-out storage solution for the Amazon Web Services (AWS) public cloud. Red Hat Storage Server for Hybrid Cloud can be deployed across both private and public clouds for standardized scale-out storage both on-premise and in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) public cloud.
During the past 27 years, the SIIA CODiE Awards have recognized more than 1,000 software and information companies for achieving excellence. The CODiE Awards remain the only peer-recognized program in the content, education, and software industries so each CODiE Award win serves as incredible market validation for a product’s innovation, vision, and overall industry impact. The 2013 SIIA CODiE winners will be announced at the SIIA event All About the Cloud on May 7-9, 2013 in San Francisco.
