CA Technologies Paul Lipton Elected to OASIS Board of Directors

Islandia, NY, July 16, 2012 – CA Technologies today announced that Paul Lipton, vice president, Industry Standards and Open Source, CA Technologies, has been elected to the Board of Directors of OASIS, the international standards consortium.
“I am honored to be elected by the OASIS membership to serve on the Board of Directors,” Lipton said. “CA Technologies is proud to be an active contributor to this outstanding community of collaborators empowered by a democratic, transparent process - one that enables both innovation and consensus.”
Working with fellow directors, members and staff, Lipton will provide business and technical leadership to advance OASIS as a major standards-setting body for cloud computing, eGovernment, e-business, security and other areas of interest to the IT industry.

Lipton coordinates CA Technologies strategy and participation in IT standards and open source organizations, while also functioning as part of CA Labs, CA Technologies advanced research and technology group. He is co-chair of the OASIS TOSCA Technical Committee, and also serves on the Board of Directors of the open source Eclipse Foundation, the Object Management Group, and the Distributed Management Task Force.
