“Last March, Oracle made an engineering decision to stop future software development on the Itanium chip. We made the decision as we became convinced that Itanium was approaching its end of life and we explained our rationale to customers here: www.oracle.com/itanium. Nothing in the Court's preliminary opinion changes that fact. We know that Oracle did not give up its fundamental right to make platform engineering decisions in the 27 words HP cites from the settlement of an unrelated employment agreement. HP’s argument turns the concept of Silicon Valley ‘partnerships’ upside down. We plan to appeal the Court's ruling while fully litigating our cross claims that HP misled both its partners and customers.” – Deborah Hellinger

This release of Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse introduces new design-time tools forOracle Application Development Framework (Oracle ADF), the standards based, strategic framework for Oracle Fusion Applications and Oracle Fusion Middleware, and enhancements for developing secure Web Services.
The release is the first to support Eclipse Juno (3.8 and 4.2) and provides new JAX-WS design-time features for developers targeting both the Oracle Web Services Manager andOracle WebLogic Server.
A component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse is a free set of Eclipse-based plug-ins that enables developers to build Java EE, Web Service, Cloud, Spring and Oracle ADF applications for the Oracle Fusion Middleware platform.
New Release Enhances Application Development Capabilities and Increases Security
New Design-Time Tools for Oracle ADF give users an integrated environment with seamless support for developing ADF based applications in conjunction with EJBs, POJOs, JSF and more. Building on previous ADF design time tools, Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse 12.1.1.1 adds new features for the ADF Model making it easy to create ADF Data Controls and ADF Bindings.
