SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Citrix today announced that Citrix XenDesktop® has been listed as a Champion in Info-Tech Research Group’s Desktop Virtualization Vendor Landscape. The company was also listed as a Trend Setter. Assessing vendors by the strength of their offering and their strategy for the enterprise, Info-Tech Research Group Vendor Landscapes pay tribute to the contribution of exceptional vendors in a particular category. Other Citrix products have also been recognized by Info-Tech, including Citrix XenServer® in the Server Virtualization Vendor Landscape (January 2013) and Citrix CloudPlatform™ in the Cloud Management Vendor Landscape (November 2012). Champions are defined as offering excellent value, having a strong market presence and acting as trend setters for the industry. Trend Setter Awards are presented to the most original/inventive solution evaluated.
“Desktop virtualization continues to expand in both function and use case: from task workers to power users; from application presentation to virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI); from stationary to mobile,” said John Sloan, Lead Research Analyst, Info-Tech Research Group. “Citrix has been a leader in feature development, often ahead of other vendors in number and quality of advance features. In breadth of offerings, Citrix is unmatched, contributing to an ‘anywhere on any device’ strategic vision. XenDesktop has proven reliability and continues to lead in both mind and market share.”
