NEW YORK; Feb. 24, 2015 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) announced that insurance group Coverys is now utilizing the Accenture Duck Creek suite of software to support its property and casualty insurance product development and policy, rating, billing and claims administration. With the software implementation complete, Coverys can now take full advantage of the Accenture Duck Creek software capabilities that enhance and improve efficiencies through automated and streamlined operations.
One of the top ten medical professional liability insurers in the nation, the Coverys companies provide medical professional liability insurance and related services to hospitals/facilities, physicians/surgeons, dentists and allied healthcare professionals. With Accenture Duck Creek’s simplified configuration and scalability, Coverys’ new integrated platform will better support extremely large schedules, offer advanced reporting, and enable high-volume processing within every segment of the business.
“Because our business is rather unique, transitioning from a legacy-based system to a modern platform required building one capable of enhancing our business agility, collecting and providing access to the right data to make better decisions, and delivering superior customer service,” said Eric Crockett, vice president of information technology at Coverys. “With Accenture Duck Creek, we found the right team and the right software that was truly configurable, scalable and able to meet our needs as we continue to grow.”
“The highly complex nature of this particular insurance segment made this a challenging project for our team and required significant configuration of the Accenture Duck Creek software so that Coverys could consolidate multiple systems and convert all of their claims data,” said Michael A. Jackowski, global managing director of Accenture Duck Creek. “To have their trust and confidence while we worked through the significant requirements with their team helped us build a platform that enables Coverys to customize and streamline processes and rapidly deliver product to the marketplace.”
Accenture Duck Creek Suite includes policy, rating, billing and claims software components that can be implemented independently or combined for an integrated approach to manage all aspects of the property and casualty insurance lifecycle.
