Fierce Innovation Awards and Mobilizer Awards Awards Recognize SAP Mobile Platform and SAP Afaria Mobile Device Management Solution
SAP NEWSBYTE - SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced that the Fierce Innovation Awards and the Mobilizer Awards have recognized SAP Mobile Platform and the SAP Afaria mobile device management solution as finalists in the "Best in Mobile Device Management" and "Device and Network Security" categories respectively.
The Fierce Innovation Awards are an operator-reviewed program from the publishers ofFierceWireless, FierceTelecom and FierceCable. Finalists were selected from among hundreds of products by an exclusive panel of carrier executives from Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, Comcast Cable, Cox Communications and TeliaSonera International. In the category of "Device and Network Security," judges evaluated products based upon technological innovation, financial impact, market validation and end-user experience, recognizing only one mobile device management (MDM) solution, SAP Afaria, for exceptional delivery on those measurables.
The 11th Annual Mobilizer Awards, presented by Mobile Enterprise Magazine, honored the most effective and innovative mobile technology deployments of 2012. In the category of "Best in Mobile Device Management," the Mobilizer Awards recognized Standard Bank South Africa as a finalist for its mobile deployment managed by SAP Mobile Platform and SAP Afaria. Honoring the deployment, the awards noted the exceptional returns Standard Bank experienced: "As a result of the deployment, Standard Bank has reduced account opening time by more than 300 percent. Account origination time was reduced from 28 minutes to 12 minutes, and eventually eight minutes."
