Jackson Hewitt Ready For Tax Season with RingCentral

RingCentral News Release:

Jackson Hewitt Ready
For Tax Season with RingCentral

RingCentral’s cloud-based business communications platform quickly connects 82 locations across Texas, Tennessee and Oklahoma for tax season demand

RingCentral, Inc. (NYSE: RNG), a leading provider of cloud business communications solutions, today announced that the Texas, Tennessee and Oklahoma franchise of Jackson Hewitt Tax Services has prepared for tax season by connecting its 82 locations using RingCentral’s flexible and quickly deployable cloud-based business communications platform.
“Tax season can be an extremely stressful time for customers, but also for our IT department, which needs to get our storefronts up and running in a matter of weeks,” said Jim Springfield, Jackson Hewitt franchise owner and CEO. “Connectivity between our employees and customers is critical to our business, especially given the high volume of calls leading up to April 15. We chose RingCentral’s cloud-based platform because it is quick and easy to deploy and manage, allowing us to focus on what we do best, which is providing our customers the best service.”
Jackson Hewitt is the second largest tax preparation provider in the world. The company assists millions of people in preparing local, state and federal tax returns every year.  The Texas, Tennessee and Oklahoma franchise of the company employs 450 workers and operates branches spread across 82 locations, including 42 storefronts and 40 locations inside Walmart and Sears.
Jackson Hewitt ramps up its staffing during tax season, which poses unique IT challenges for the franchise. For example, using the infrastructure inside of Walmart and Sears locations can be logistically difficult. Additionally, setting up a hardware-based PBX phone system at each of the 82 branches is cost-prohibitive and difficult to deploy and manage for Jackson Hewitt’s limited number of IT staff.
To help address these challenges and tax season demand, the Jackson Hewitt franchise turned to RingCentral’s flexible and feature-rich cloud business communications platform. Despite there being three different Internet providers across the 82 locations, RingCentral ensured a smooth onboarding process for both IT and employees. Additionally, their IT group is able to centrally manage a single phone system across all locations. The franchise believes that it will save over $50,000 this season by switching to RingCentral.
“The IT transformation Jackson Hewitt needs to undergo each year to prepare for tax season is astounding, and we are pleased to play such a major role in their business-critical operations,” said Ryan Azus, senior vice president of worldwide sales at RingCentral. “Thanks to the power of RingCentral’s cloud platform, the company can quickly and cost-effectively get fully ready, just in time for the tax season.”
About RingCentral
RingCentral, Inc. (NYSE: RNG) is a leading provider of cloud business communications solutions. Easier to manage and more flexible than on-premise communications phone systems, RingCentral’s cloud solution meets the needs of modern distributed and mobile workforces, while eliminating the expense and complications of on-premise traditional hardware-based systems and software. Telefónica Digital Details

Telefónica is one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies with more than 320 million customers and operations across Europe and Latin America. With its best in class mobile, fixed and broadband networks, as well as an innovative digital solution portfolio, Telefónica is transforming itself into a “digital telco” that will be even better positioned to meet its customers’ needs and capture new revenue growth.
Telefónica Digital required a reliable, flexible and secure technology platform on which to base its TU Go service, which enables customers to use devices, such as laptops and tablets, to make and receive phone calls and text messages with their mobile number. The company also needed to accelerate its time to market for this service.
TU Go rings across all devices – smartphone, tablet, or laptop – where it is installed, each time a user receives a phone call. This new service is aiding customer retention for Telefónica, particularly among those who might consider switching to other providers due to better pricing or plans. Telefónica plans to extend the service into Latin America and other countries in the coming year.

Telstra Corporation Details

Telstra a leading Australian telecommunications and information services company. Telstra builds and operates information communications technology (ICT) and media services, competing in all telecommunications markets with 1,900 points of presence spanning 230 countries.
Telstra needed to upgrade its existing customer relationship management (CRM) system to enhance the way it helps drive customer satisfaction and advocacy, including providing the sales teams with timely access to information on their mobile devices to help progress deals and opportunities rapidly, even when away from the office. Telstra also sought to reduce the time sales representatives spent on administrative functions and enable a truly flexible way of working.
Telstra implemented Oracle’s Siebel Customer Relationship ManagementSiebel Mobile SalesOracle DatabaseOracle User Productivity Kit and Oracle Business Intelligencesolutions to expand CRM system capacity on both desktop and mobile interfaces to support today’s connected world.
The new system enables Telstra’s sales force to stay connected via tablets or other mobile devices and do their job on the go, maximizing time with customers, supporting strong customer relationship development and creating deep customer insight. Telstra has also significantly reduced the time needed to capture sales opportunities – from 10-12 minutes down to approximately three minutes on a desktop, and 90 seconds on a mobile device. This has helped improve productivity an estimated 20-30 percent and reduce its carbon footprint.
Telstra’s innovation was possible due to the level of teamwork and collaboration between Telstra and its partners Infosys and Oracle. Its CRM project has been also recognized by Oracle as the new global CRM best practice baseline.

Verizon Enterprise Solutions Details

Verizon Enterprise Solutions designs, builds and operates the advanced technology platforms and networks that enterprises and governments rely on to efficiently manage business operations and serve their customers.
The company has experienced exponential growth in its IP-based contact center services business and needed a more robust and scalable underlying system to support new business and accelerate new customer onboarding.
Verizon Enterprise Solutions leveraged Oracle Communications Converged Application Server to enable enterprise customers to create or move contact centers onto IP networks, while still servicing calls from any source – including public switched telephone networks (PSTN), IP networks and wireless networks.

Retailer Sees Significant Increases in Sales on Items Searched Online

ORACLE INDUSTRY CONNECT, BOSTON – March 26, 2014

News Summary

Z Gallerie, a California-based purveyor of furniture and home décor was seeing an increase in traffic to its online site and response to marketing programs. To improve conversion and basket size, Z Gallerie deployed Oracle Commerce. In August 2013, Z Gallerie went live with Oracle Commerce resulting in more relevant content, improved navigation and better ease-of-use regardless of the device customers use to access the site. The full implementation was completed quickly and sales from on-site search have dramatically increased.

News Facts

Using Oracle Commerce, furniture and home décor retailer Z Gallerie expanded the products available on its e-commerce site and delivered better content, improved navigation and ease-of-use for store associates and customers alike.
As a result of the Oracle Commerce deployment, Z Gallerie has seen a strong rise in sales on items searched.
Z Gallerie attributes the gains to new functionality that enables the company to highlight its best-selling and most relevant products on its site and within its search function, as well as its new infinite scroll capability, which allows customers to see more products overall and makes it easier for them to find exactly what they are looking for.
Z Gallerie worked with Cirrus10, a Gold-level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), to go live rapidly on Oracle Commerce.
The retailer already was using Oracle Database throughout the enterprise before expanding the footprint with Oracle Commerce, and the implementation offers the potential for integration with other Oracle solutions in the future.

Supporting Quotes

“We’re seeing a lot more engagement on our category pages. Prior to implementing Oracle Commerce, only 40 percent of our visitors would hit a product page. That number has increased significantly leading to more site conversions and increased sales,” said Kerem Ozkay, eCommerce Marketing Analyst, Z Gallerie.
“Everyone has been talking about omni-channel, and that’s something we embrace as well. Oracle is the right choice because we strive to bring the web, the tablet, the mobile phone, and the in-store experience together for our associates and our customers,” said Howard Kolodny, Chief Information Officer, Z Gallerie.
“The e-commerce and in-store experience are inseparable and instrumental to delivering commerce anywhere,” said Mike Webster, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Oracle Retail. “Z Gallerie is leveraging best-in-class Oracle solutions to offer a differentiated customer experience and drive sales across all channels.”
