In this industry analyst report, 16 current ENMS solutions from 15 vendor providers were evaluated across a broad range of measures regarding product strength, overall cost efficiency and overall strength of the vendors themselves. EMA describes Value Leaders as those vendors who provide solutions that achieve the best combinations of product strength and cost efficiency. CA Technologies emerged as a Value Leader in the Large Deployments group.
“CA IM garnered the strongest product strength score of all solutions reviewed during this study,” said Jim Frey, managing research director, Enterprise Management Associates. “All ENMS solutions offer the means to add and create new management interfaces, so that the solution can be used to cover new network and non-network devices. But customers specifically cited how they appreciated the capabilities within CA IM for adding, testing, and certifying new management interfaces on their own, without requiring direct services or support from CA Technologies. In addition, the company’s strong list of technology partners gives it high marks in third-party integration areas such as CMDB, route analytics, event management, and overall integration and interoperability.”
EMA also recognized CA IM as the “Most Extensible – Large Deployments.” The analyst firm noted that the well-matured root cause analysis and fault isolation engine within CA IM has its heritage in the CA Spectrum® product, and the solution is easily extensible in the field for adding new devices to management.
“EMA’s recognition of CA IM as a Value Leader is a testament to the terrific guidance provided by our highly engaged customer community during the development process, and to the strength of our engineering and product management organizations,” said Mike Sargent, general manager, CA Technologies. “CA IM is ushering in a new era of infrastructure management by helping enterprise IT professionals and service providers resolve service problems as much as 25 times faster at up to 50 percent lower total cost than the previous version of the product.”
