Deployment Options for SAP® Business Suite Powered by SAP HANA® Deliver Speed and Simplicity

SAP NEWSBYTE - SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced new enterprise resource planning (ERP)rapid-deployment solutions to deliver speed and simplicity to enterprises considering the adoption ofSAP® Business Suite powered by SAP HANA®. Powered by the SAP HANA platform, the SAP® ERP for Finance and Controlling, SAP® ERP for Manufacturing and SAP® ERP for Trading rapid-deployment solutions offer customers a clear starting point for deploying the only integrated family of business applications that capture and analyze transactional data in real time on a single in-memory platform.

Rapid-deployment solutions follow SAP’s unique packaging, which includes preconfigured software, implementation services, best-practices content and end-user enablement. The three new SAP Rapid Deployment solutions come with a fixed price and scope so that enterprise customers can become real-time enterprises with SAP HANA. The deployed solutions can also be used as a starting point using an assemble- to-order methodology where the scope is extended to an even broader solution desired by customers along their individual adoption paths.

Rapid deployment of SAP ERP for Finance and Controlling, SAP ERP for Manufacturing and SAP ERP for Trading join with an earlier packaged solution for SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA: the SAP® CRM powered by SAP HANA rapid-deployment solution. The package is also available in an advanced approach to enterprise customer relationship management (CRM), the SAP® 360 Customer solution.

“The promise of SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA and SAP 360 Customer is to enable businesses to run faster, simpler and smarter,” said Steven Birdsall, senior vice president and general manager, SAP Rapid Deployment Solutions. “Now, through rapid-deployment, we have wrapped this innovation into an easily accessible package as well. We have helped reduce implementation barriers for a non-disruptive and practical transformation into real-time business. Rapid-deployment solutions are offering customers game-changing innovation with controlled risk.”

Rapid-deployment solutions supporting SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA deliver accelerated implementation for core ERP modules in finance and accounting; trading and inventory operations; and logistics and procurement for manufacturing in six months or less. Rapid-deployment solutions supporting SAP 360 Customer enable enterprises to quickly build a comprehensive view of their customers. SAP 360 Customer leverages real-time transactional analytics across a wide array of touch-points, including mobile and social media, to better contextualize interactions and improve the overall customer experience.

The modular framework of rapid-deployment solutions allows customers to select what they need when they need it, while unlocking a path to future improvements. Total implementation time for rapid deployment of SAP CRM powered by SAP HANA can occur within 12 weeks or less.

“These new rapid-deployment solutions support IDC’s findings that emerging technology implementations are becoming shorter, and require fewer consulting and integration services,” said Gard Little, research director, at IDC for IT consulting and systems integration research. “Delivered as a complete package with a modular approach, SAP Rapid Deployment solutions allow customers to incrementally address business needs at their own pace in a simple and pre-integrated framework that can help them unlock value quickly.”

Rapid deployment of SAP CRM powered by SAP HANA is one step in the many paths customers can take with SAP Rapid Deployment solutions. A full portfolio of modular yet integrated rapid-deployment solutions across all areas of the SAP solution portfolio are available, including analytics based on SAP HANA, mobile, cloud and social, database and technology and industry solutions.
