F5 Offers Customer-Focused Activities at VMworld® 2013

Integrated demo with new VMware NSX™ network virtualization platform and other conference efforts showcase the customer benefits of F5® technology

SAN FRANCISCO—F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV) today announced its activities at VMworld®2013, taking place this week at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. At the show, F5 is highlighting its support for VMware NSX™, the new network virtualization platform introduced at the conference. As a Platinum event sponsor, F5 is also conducting technical breakout sessions focused on VDI, intelligent traffic management, and other technologies supporting virtualization, software defined networking (SDN), and cloud deployments.
F5 and VMware NSX – Combining Application Services and Network Virtualization
Today, VMware announced the launch of VMware NSX, which will virtualize the network and provide a platform to deliver logical network services offered by VMware and partners such as F5. With NSX, data center operators can provision complex, multi-tier virtual networks in seconds, independent of the underlying topology or network components.
To support this launch, F5 is announcing integration between its BIG-IQ™ Cloud offering and VMware NSX. Together, F5 and VMware solutions help mutual customers seamlessly deploy application services—such as security and acceleration—with network virtualization technologies. A joint technology demonstration of BIG-IQ Cloud and VMware NSX is available at the conference in F5’s booth (#1529) as well as VMware’s (#1229).
