BARCELONA, Spain--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Mellanox® Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:MLNX), a leading supplier of end-to-end interconnect solutions for servers and storage systems, today announced the addition of three new top-of-rack Open Ethernet™ software-defined networking (SDN) switches to its 10/40/56 Gigabit Ethernet switch product portfolio. Based on Mellanox's SwitchX®-2 switch ICs, the new SX1400, SX1700 and SX1710 Ethernet switches provide enhanced control plane capabilities and allow for the design of hyperscale data center networks and control-intensive cloud applications.

Furthermore, the new Open Ethernet switches provide a platform that can accommodate user applications as virtual machines hosted and executed by the switches' dual and quad core CPUs. The new capability enables users to optimize their data center networking infrastructure to their needs and to maximize their application performance.
