Toshiba's chief executive and president Hisao Tanaka resigned Tuesday over an accounting scandal that has rocked the company.
Norio Sasaki, vice chairman of the board, and Atsutoshi Nishida, a former Toshiba executive who now serves as an adviser, will also step down, the company said. Toshiba's current chairman, Masashi Muromachi, was named interim president.
