Accenture Launches Three Innovation Centers for SAP® Solutions in Asia-Pacific
New Centers Open in China, Japan, and Singapore

NEW YORK; May 29, 2012 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) today announced it is expanding its global network of Innovation Centers for SAP® solutions with the opening of new centers in Beijing, Tokyo, and Singapore.  Focused on accelerating the development, delivery and commercialization of business solutions based on SAP technologies, the centers will help clients increase speed to market, enhance flexibility, and improve business performance.

The Accenture Innovation Centers for SAP solutions bring together Accenture’s functional and industry expertise with the latest SAP technologies, including the SAP HANA® platform and mobility and cloud solutions.  Supported by teams of professionals from Accenture and SAP, the centers provide clients with process-specific business solutions, thought leadership around existing and emerging SAP solution-based technology, and the industrialization of the resulting solution, content and delivery methods.

“The new Accenture Innovation Centers for SAP solutions will help our clients in the Asia-Pacific region draw as much value as possible from their investments in SAP solutions, accelerating business results, and contributing to their international competitiveness,” said Mark Willford, global managing director of SAP business for Accenture. “These innovation centers bring the best of Accenture’s global experience while enabling the localization of those solutions to meet the specific business challenges in the region.”

The centers will focus on developing solutions for a variety of industries and clients can experience and access all Accenture industry solutions at any of the locations. Some initial areas of focus for the new locations include:

  • The Accenture Innovation Center for SAP solutions in Beijing is focused on innovating new solutions for the communications, high tech, utilities, and retail industries. Specifically in utilities, the center will explore solutions that can be applied to help address China’s growing energy demands.
  • The Accenture Innovation Center for SAP solutions in Tokyo is focused on developing innovative solutions for high-tech companies as well as the electric power industry, including exploring smart-meter analysis, which is essential for enabling smart cities.
  • The Accenture Innovation Center for SAP solutions in Singapore has a preliminary emphasis on the consumer goods, utilities, oil and gas, and public sector industries. The center also serves as a hub to support clients from neighboring countries including Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.

Accenture’s network of innovation centers are co-located with and leverage the skills and expertise at locations across the Accenture Global Delivery Network, Accenture Technology Labs and the Accenture Global Talent and Innovation Network. The four new centers join Accenture’s global network of innovation centers in support of SAP solutions, based in locations including San Jose, Calif.; Chicago; New York; Toronto; Sophia Antipolis, France; and Bangalore, India.
