Red Hat News Release:

Red Hat recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work” and for work-from-home policies

July 30, 2014

DeLisa Alexander, executive vice president and chief people officer, Red Hat

We're pleased to announce that the Triangle Business Journal has once again recognized Red Hat as one of the Best Places to Work in the Raleigh, N.C., region. The list recognizes 50 companies based in the Research Triangle area, and was compiled using survey feedback from employees at companies throughout the region. Red Hat, with more than 6,500 associates worldwide, currently has more than 1,000 associates in Raleigh.

This is the second time in recent history that Red Hat was named to the Triangle Business Journal's Best Places to Work list, having also received the distinction in 2012. We're looking forward to joining other honorees at the Triangle Business Journal's upcoming Best Places to Work Awards luncheon on Friday, Sept. 26.

In addition, we're happy to announce that Red Hat was recognized by FlexJobs as one of the 25 Companies with the Most Work-from-Home Jobs. Red Hat has long prided itself on being a flexible employer, and our inclusion on this list underscores the impact of those efforts.

The Triangle Business Journal and FlexJobs lists also recognize Red Hat's commitment to openness – not just in our open source solutions, but our culture. As a company, we are focused on developing an environment centered around collaboration, creativity, and innovation.

Hats off to all of the associates who make Red Hat the company that it is, and for embracing the spirit that has made these awards possible.
