EmployBridge Puts People to Work Across the US With Help From Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Press release:

EmployBridge Puts People to Work Across the US With Help From Microsoft Dynamics CRM
July 30, 2012
Staffing firm streamlines its online applications process to help qualified applicants get back to work faster.
REDMOND, Wash. — July 30, 2012 — EmployBridge, a national leader in staffing and workforce solutions with more than 155 locations throughout the U.S., has chosen Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 to develop and implement an online solution that enables the company to fill “great jobs with great people.” This new solution supports the entire job-seeking process, from the candidate’s initial application to final matching of candidates to jobs.
With the help of Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Credera, EmployBridge developed what came to be known as the Online Applicant Entry (OAE), a specialty solution using the Dynamics CRM solution that is transparent to end users but supports the entire application process. The new OAE was further integrated with other applications used by EmployBridge for finding the best candidates for clients, including pre-employment screening, skills and personality profile testing. The time savings were tremendous — a process that could take weeks, according to EmployBridge CIO Chris Loope, dwindled to a few days.
“After initially reviewing customer relationship management (CRM) solutions from several providers, we determined that Microsoft Dynamics would be the best solution for our broad range of needs,” Loope said. “Better yet, it leveraged our existing investment in Microsoft technology with our applicant tracking system.”
Previously the process required applicants to visit their nearest branch location in person to fill out an application that consisted of several pages, which could take in excess of 20 minutes, followed by hours of time-consuming paperwork and processing by EmployBridge employees.
Since the implementation, applicants can now access the application process online at any time, from any computer with an Internet connection. Easy-to-understand instructions carefully guide them through each step, helping to ensure that forms are fully completed with the proper information. Applicants also can electronically “sign” and submit documents such as W-4 forms, which eliminates the need to fax, mail or hand deliver documents that require a signature. As a result of the OAE solution, EmployBridge processes four times as many applicants as it was processing previously, improving the organization’s ability to find the right person for the right job.
For EmployBridge managers, OAE has helped reduce tasks that could take hours to mere minutes. Managers can quickly review each application to determine the best candidates for specific job opportunities. Detailed qualification checks required by each client are conducted automatically, helping to increase the speed and accuracy of the qualification process.
“We can calculate a clear return on investment with our OAE solution, based on greater efficiencies and lower operating costs,” Loope said. “Equally important, this solution has helped us serve our applicants and clients even better ― and that’s always our goal at EmployBridge.”

IBM Accelerates Business from Supply to Demand with New Cloud Offerings For Smarter Commerce

Press release:

IBM Accelerates Business from Supply to Demand with New Cloud Offerings For Smarter Commerce

IBM Commerce on Cloud; First Enterprise e-Commerce Offering to Boost Marketing, Sales, Customer Service
MADRID - 22 May 2012: At the Smarter Commerce Global Summit, IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced new software designed to improve data sharing and automate complex marketing and supply chain processes in the cloud. As a result, marketers can improve customer service, increase marketing effectiveness and reduce operational costs.
The new offerings leverage IBM’s Cloud expertise and cloud collaboration networks to accelerate the flow of business-to-consumer transactions by automating and synchronizing supply and demand engines. IBM manages massive amounts of data and client transactions in cloud environments, including more than $100 billion in commerce transactions a year and 4.5 million daily client transactions.
Building on these extensive capabilities, IBM is introducing IBM Commerce on Cloud, the industry’s first integrated enterprise class e-commerce solution in the cloud that spans marketing, selling and fulfillment. Designed to help chief marketing officers (CMOs) and e-commerce executives quickly set up and maintain an on-line storefront, it also helps companies of all sizes deploy the same customer digital buying experience as the most advanced retail brands in the world.
IBM Commerce on Cloud is an integrated platform for generating customer interest and then offering, selling, transacting and fulfilling orders in the cloud. It offers companies the benefits of cloud economies, such as low up front capital investment, pay-for-use models, and instant and ongoing scalability, to businesses of all sizes. While purchase motivations are different for B2B and B2C companies, their sales and marketing programs are becoming virtually identical.
“Accelerating commerce on the Cloud is a dramatic step forward in enabling companies to transform their business operations,” said Craig Hayman, general manager, IBM Industry Solutions. “Companies of all sizes can now deliver a better client experience by providing personalized marketing, selling the way customers want to buy, and delivering products through a supply chain that’s prepared for the unpredictable.”
Smarter Commerce helps organizations that are struggling to meet the rising consumer demands brought upon by rapidly changing digital marketplace, automate their buying, marketing, selling and service processes.
In addition to IBM Commerce on Cloud, IBM also has enhanced several of its on-cloud collaboration networks to accelerate collaboration and digital information sharing across demand and supply processes to offset the unpredictable nature of commerce.
To improve retailer-consumer packaged goods collaboration and execution, IBM is introducing new pricing and trade promotion collaboration capabilities for DemandTec. This will allow a network of more than 15,000 members such as ConAgra Foods and PETCO to share information to improve merchandising and marketing plans, enabling better sales forecasts, lowering process inefficiencies and costs.
To help companies more effectively collaborate on marketing activities, IBM is offering a new certified Digital Data Exchange Partner program which allows marketers to more effectively manage their marketing, promotions and customer behavioral analytics. Marketers can gain an integrated view of information being developed across ad networks, survey vendors, testing vendors, and email service providers to gain insights and better execute their marketing programs and services. The exchange also includes a “gold tag” approach designed to ensure that analytics and marketing partners are all operating off of the same, relevant data.
With the Digital Data Exchange partner program, IBM is allowing retailers and third party digital marketing providers to relay behavioral data to analyze and enhance specific processes and improve the customer experience. The program supports new categories for visitor experience management, digital marketing, retargeting, voice of the consumer surveys and search marketing. For example, a major financial services firm could extend their digital marketing ecosystem of tools and solutions within minutes instead of days or weeks by adding online surveys to better understand their site visitors or their retargeting capabilities for a second chance at converting prospects, among other benefits.
To expedite supply chain processes, IBM is making it easier and faster to access, share and process information in real time, especially in emerging markets where growth rates are highest. IBM B2B Cloud Services is currently available across a community of 300,000 trading entities and more than 90 public and private networks, is now available in 34 new countries, including Australia, Brazil, India, New Zealand and all the Central and Eastern European countries.
Stronger supply chain collaboration brings a host of benefits. Via a secure connections to IBM B2B Cloud Services, Lenovo built a unified foundation to connect and collaborate with a broad ecosystem of customers and partners. This capability enabled the company to cut annual costs by improving freight and inventory management, reduce time to onboard a partner and increase visibility into complex supply chain relationships.

The Tide Has Turned: Nuance RESEARCH FINDS Most Consumers Would Rather Self-Serve Over Speaking with A Live Agent

News release:

Consumer Preference for Self-Service is Trending hard, Opening New Opportunities for Companies to Deliver Better Customer Service

BURLINGTON, Mass., – May 10, 2012 – Nuance Communications, Inc., today announced…
WHAT: As customer self-service continues to become more commonplace given the surge of mobile apps from companies across the globe, consumers are getting on board. According to a recent survey commissioned by Nuance Research and conducted by Vocal Laboratories Inc. (Vocalabs), 2 out of 3 consumers prefer self-service over speaking to a person for customer service inquiries.
The survey also highlighted convenience to be the largest contributing factor with 75 percent of consumers saying that they find self-service to be more convenient as compared to the mere six percent who felt that speaking to a person is always more convenient.
Additionally, the consumer experience is materially influencing perceptions of the company. The vast majority of participants (92 percent) felt a company was innovative after “good” customer service experiences when using the company’s mobile app. An overwhelming majority (89 percent) said that they felt those companies were customer focused, with 88 percent saying that they felt such companies were easy to do business with, and another 86 percent stating they had high confidence in the strength of these companies.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, companies whose mobile apps deliver “bad” customer service experiences suffer a nearly-equal and opposite effect. When consumers have a bad customer experience, they 81 percent of consumers felt discouraged from wanting to use the app in the future, while 77 percent questioned their ability to serve customers, and another 73 percent have a lower opinion of the company. More than half (58 percent) said that they want to switch to a different company after a bad customer experience on their mobile app.
“The opportunities for companies to better serve their customers have never been greater. This latest research underpins that consumers are more and more preferring to self-serve over speaking with a person,” said Dan Nordale, vice president, enterprise marketing of Nuance Communications. “We’ve found that companies that offer voice-enabled solutions to make self-service interactions faster and easier, especially in the mobile channel, are enjoying a significantly positive impact on their brand and business.”
The survey also found that a sticking point for consumers was identity verification, with 68 percent citing that the need to verify their identity more than once with customer service was “frustrating.” This sentiment underscores the need for security-focused technologies like voice biometrics, which gives each individual a unique voiceprint that can be automatically identified once a person speaks, eliminating the hassle of remembering and then typing in passwords on virtual keyboards, or having to repeatedly provide customers identifiers such as date of birth, social security codes or other passwords.
WHO: Nuance Communications (NASDAQ: NUAN) is a leading provider of voice and language solutions for businesses and consumers around the world. Its technologies, applications and services make the user experience more compelling by transforming the way people interact with information and how they create, share and use documents. Every day, millions of users and thousands of businesses experience Nuance’s proven applications. For more information, please visitwww.nuance.com.
